Sharing your intake link

Get your intake link in front of customers — via text, QR code, your website, or anywhere else.

Sharing via SMS / text

1

Text the link directly to customers

The fastest way to share is to text a customer your link when they call to inquire. Something like: "Hey, can you fill this out so I can get you an accurate quote? [your link]"

2

Add it to your email signature

Include your intake link in every outbound email signature. This passively captures leads from customers who reply to old emails or find your address online.

3

Add it to your voicemail greeting

A great option for solo operators: record a voicemail that reads out your link URL or instructs callers to text a keyword to receive the link. "Missed my call? Text me your address and service type, or visit [short URL]."

Note: Consider using a URL shortener (like bit.ly) to make your link easier to read aloud or include in short messages.

Sharing on your website

1

Add a 'Get a Free Quote' button

Link your intake URL from a prominent CTA button on your website homepage, services page, and contact page. Label it something like Get an Instant Quote or Request a Free Estimate.

2

Embed the QR code

Copy the embed code from Settings → Public Profile → Share & Distribute and paste it into your website's HTML. This lets mobile visitors scan directly from their screen without tapping a link.

3

Add it to your Google Business profile

In your Google Business profile, you can add a website link or "Get a quote" button that points to your QuoteTxt intake URL. This captures leads from local search with zero extra effort.

Using the QR code in the real world

1

Print on job site materials

Add your QR code to door hangers, lawn signs, proposal folders, and business cards. Customers can scan on-site to submit a follow-up job or referral.

2

Add to your truck or equipment

A vinyl decal of your QR code on your truck or trailer turns every job into passive marketing. Neighbors who see your work can scan and request a quote immediately.

3

Use at trade shows or events

Display your QR code on a banner or table card at local home shows, neighborhood events, or church directories. Customers can submit details while they're standing right in front of you.

Tip: Test your QR code before printing at scale. Scan it yourself with your phone camera to confirm it opens the correct intake chat.

What customers experience

When a customer opens your link, they're greeted by a chat assistant branded with your business name and logo. The assistant guides them through a short conversation — typically 2–4 minutes — collecting:

  • Their name and contact info (phone or email)
  • Service address (auto-enriched with property data)
  • Type of service needed (from your job categories)
  • Scope details and any specific requirements
  • Photos of the area (optional but encouraged)
  • Preferred timeline

Once they submit, you get notified immediately. The job appears in your Dashboard with a generated summary, ready to review and price.

Good to know: Customers don't need to create an account to submit a job. The chat is completely frictionless.
